An excellent book of exercises

I have used this book with my students with great success. The explanations of how to form and use different grammatical constructions in English are clear and precise. The images help beginners learn vocabulary and grammar at the same time. In particular, many foreign learners have difficulty with the structure of questions in English. This book provides good explanations and lots of practice. The book is intended to be for self-study, but I think it is too much for beginners to do alone. As a companion to regular classes, I can recommend it unreservedly.

It is a very thorough and complete grammar book for students in the elementary level of English. The organization of the book is well-done with clear and distinct sections. You will find various verb tenses in this book. The present perfect tense, one of the most difficult tenses for students to learn, has four units in this book. This Cambridge book also has units on modals, comparatives/superlatives, countable/uncountable/ make vs. do, pronouns (subject/object/possessive) and many other grammar subjects in English. I recommend that you do the exercises in this book before doing the blue grammar book from Cambridge. Highly recommended!
