About the Author
Robert Connell Clarke is acknowledged as a foremost world authority on hashish and hemp. His other works include Marijuana Botany and Natural History of Cannabis (University of Berkeley Press, Fall 2012). He is a founder of the International Hemp Association and has authored numerous IHA Journal studies and countless cannabis articles and photographs for magazines and books during past 35 years.

Robert Connell Clarke combines an extensive accounting of the secretive history of hashish making and use through Asia and the Middle East with modern day high tech hash production techniques for the modern scientifically minded hashishin to make a comprehensive bible of hash. In simple straightforward language he explains methods that make far better hashish quickly then any commercially available products. For the scholarly history lover or the stoner that wants to spend an afternoon in forgetful nepenthe bliss this is an essential text.

Second edition stands the test of time.

This edition of Hashish not only has kept up to date on modern Hash issues, but sets straight a lot of misconceptions about the historical cultures.
The first edition of this book suffered from the color inserts coming unbound, having seen case after case of the first edition destroyed as defective, I am glad to be able to keep this title for my archives . Robert Clarke's one of the few authors I constantly respect. from his cannaboid research to the breeding techniques, he presents information across his works not professionally presented any where else.

Great Book on traditional hashmaking, but nothing on Butane Honey Oil.

Overall a great book on various methods of hashmaking, but nothing on BHO or other solvents used to make great hash. I do recommend this book as the HASH BIBLE, but I wish it would get updated to include info on BHO and other extraction solvents.
