Just not worth it
By Luke 454
If you're a fan of Fallout New Vegas you might enjoy this book a bit, but for the money it simply isn't worth it. The story is extremely short and doesn't even have any of the staple of the Fallout universe, such as power armor or Deathclaws. It follows Benny and a group of Raiders on their way to ambush the courier. For almost $40 I would have liked to have seen a thicker graphic novel with a lot more story. It's not even graphic novel size. It's like the size of a regular comic book. Just with a hard cover. It would also have been nice to see some mutants and BoS in the novel. I was extremely disappointed and if I'd known this is what the novel was I'd never have bought it. You're paying for rarity and I'm sorry, but this "rare" book just isn't worth the price.

one of the Great Khans accompanying Benny during the week prior to the ...
By David Campbell
As others have noted, this thin little gem is for the hardcore Fallout fan of the New Vegas persuasion only. It is definitely not a stand alone graphic novel for the casual reader. Even post-apocalyptic genre fans would find this one pricey for what it delivers outside the context of the New Vegas story arc.
For me, it was the equivalent of an all too short DLC, adding nuance and depth to the video experience. The otherwise unexplained tableux of bodies and other evidence at the Tribal Village near Goodsprings suddenly makes sense after you read this novel as does Chance's Grave and Chance's Map if you happen to encounter them in the game.
If you have played through the game a few times, you are probably familiar with the events at Bitter Springs and their lasting effects upon various characters. All Roads adds to those in the character, Chance. one of the Great Khans accompanying Benny during the week prior to the game's beginning. Not a great deal of character development is added here. You already know Benny is a snake and Great Khans are loyal to a fault. On the other hand, Benny is presented as being of slightly sterner stuff than "a pretty boy in a daisy suit", "all hat and no cattle headed back to the soft livin' in New Vegas". His own tribal roots begin to show and he is just as at home in the wasteland as the Great Khans. The difference is that Benny has a vision of future potentials and refuses to wallow in his wasteland past. The Khans seem trapped in the past unable to adapt to the fluid conditions of the present.
I have no idea what time and resource constraints Chris Avellone and the artists were working under when they produced this novel. It gives the impression that it was meant to be one of several installments. It may have been conceptual fallout from Van Buren, the Fallout 3 that never saw publication. Whatever, I would hope this is not the last graphic novel Fallout Universe inspires.

Great read both for fans and in general!
By Sparten Marshall
A pretty great comic, especially if you're a fan of Fallout New Vegas. It's a bit of a short read, and there is one of the book that's not cannon, but it's minor. I definitely recommend this if you're a fan of New Vegas and like comics.
